This course gives you the basics of interacting on social media, how a modern website has to look like, and how to make proper use of email marketing. Digital Advertising course provided me with information on how creative work is organized in social media marketing, up until then it seemed totally mystical. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this course I’d recommend it to people willing to start working in digital and establish themselves in this field.
You can always read the theory, you can even learn the rules and mechanics, and memorize specific award-winning cases. But it’s way harder to hunt for the real experience of top-level professionals. When the aces with 15 years of experience are sharing their major fuckups with you, then you finally get that you really have to climb the tree to eat the fruit. Human connection, unscripted knowledge, answers to extremely inconvenient questions – this totally wasn’t a boring course.
I joined TAG Vilnius after just returning from living abroad and, frankly said, just didn’t know what I wanted to do here and what industry I wanted to be in. Coming from a fashion and journalism background, advertising seemed super interesting, so I gave it a go. I guess the goal was to acquire the skill set needed for a position in an advertising agency and, eventually, the position itself, but even though it turned out it wasn’t what I needed, the skills and thought processes that I’d learned have become crucial in my everyday and professional life.
After spending a while in school you might feel like you know even less than before. It starts bothering you that you’ve been so ignorant about this terrible, yet wonderful thing called advertising. And that’s when the important change really comes. You become an avid reader, experiencer, and listener of everything ad-related. You become more open to life in general and start creating terrible and maybe even some wonderful ads yourself.
This was one of the most exciting rollercoasters in my life. From EUREKA moments when you manage to come up with working concepts, to ‘what am I doing with my life?’ when you don’t produce anything all day. Not to mention colleagues and teachers, who can become your second family.
I increased my creativity by 200%. I’m overwhelmed by this experience. In some cases, I got basics I needed, in other areas – I extended the knowledge I already had. I’m happy to apply that knowledge in my everyday and professional life. Creativity and a happy life – inseparable tandem.
…once you notice an old cleaning lady in a supermarket like she was typing something on her phone but after you come closer you only see her putting on her rubber gloves and you stop for an epiphany moment and you realize the differences among generations, the impact of social media, changing habits, addictions that could easily be transformed into an ad just there, but then remember what your teacher told you, that ‘life’s first’ and you stop, put the idea somewhere in your mind for it to be used in the future, but what can you do when after a short course your perception changes and you find yourself working at any moment and place and your mind is just one big sentence full of ideas and insights that never ends…
Atomic forced me to explore life. Just after I understood the power of insight I was constantly questioning everything. I still do now and it’s amazing. It may drive me crazy one day, but I don’t mind. Better crazy than ordinary.
The Atomic Garden has taught me that it’s not what you know that makes you smart. What does, is admitting you don’t know shit. So you can ask. And find out.
Long live curiosity!
I found this Digital Advertising course at The Atomic Garden really beneficial – it helped me get to know the industry in a very short period of time. Also, I made a few connections that eventually led me to a really cool job. My highest recommendation.
In the spare time of making edible masterpieces, partying, missing out on sleeping, expanding the boundaries of randomness, finding your future best friends, co-workers and ex’s, you will also learn everything you need to know about advertising here. And you’ll do it with the help from the industry’s greats and from your lost ego.
I had been thinking a long time before joining TAG, had many doubts whether the school would justify my expectations. Now I can safely say that it was more than worth it. I met a number of industry professionals, in half a year learned more than others learn in 4 years at the University and, of course, I got the desired and beloved work. What else can you wish for?
Digital is impossible to escape, but it is possible to manage.
This course won‘t make you a pro, but it will surely help you suck less. It will give you some ground rules of how to play, how to think more strategically.
Also, you will have a chance to meet real digital business sharks at the classes, take all the knowledge, get inspired.
The rest depends on you!
To be interesting and influential in the world of advertising, you have to learn you’re not doing it for your own expression. During the time here, TAG grew the sense for versatility in me and that’s the best thing that could’ve happened.
Main lesson I learned – audience doesn’t owe you anything and in order to create quality content you must keep asking yourself what value you give to the user / reader. Another great thing – you gain not only theoretical knowledge, that tends to get out of the date soon, but you learn how to think in certain principles. That stays for life.
It was challenging, exhausting, excruciating yet most amazing 5 months. From being pissed about the cruel murder of your idea to the indescribable euphoria of creating something worth looking at. The decision to join TAG was one of the best decisions I’d ever made. It’s tough, it’s scary, but it’s very rewarding at the end. Because no-one is going to do stuff for you there – you’re responsible for everything you create and you have to stand by it. Being there inspires and the possibility to learn from industry’s best people is worth sacrificing nerves and sleep. All in all – loved every minute of being at TAG.
TAG Vilnius is the place where question marks can be changed into brand new exclamation points. You will learn that you know nothing, and then they will lead you all the way through digital advertising jungles. And after all that, you will want more and more every day.
Digital Advertising course has helped me to look deeper, to search more and to put creative ideas into practice. The skills that I acquired are very useful whenever there is a need to organize the chaos in my brain or start approaching a new brand from zero. Also, what could be better than meeting inspiring professionals of the advertising industry and learning directly from them?
To be honest, my decision was probably stupid. At the age of 26, I decided to change careers, well, actually to “go back to school” and move to another country. Doesn’t sound smart, right? Only on paper. In reality, I’m now employed and getting paid for thinking and producing ideas and just cracking jokes all day. You know, I’m downplaying it a bit, but you get the idea – a reward is sweet.
This course is just the right push for any creative person, even for those who are not necessarily interested in the advertising industry per se. You’ll learn how to think conceptually, to think about how to think, to craft and graft your ideas, after all, the devil is in the details. And maybe, in Antonio…? In general, I’d say, quite a sweet set of skills for the curious, yet chaotic junior visionaries out there.
By the end of this course, you’ll know one thing – that you don’t know shit about shit. And quite frankly, that’s the best fuel.
Not only I’ve learned how to provide the expected value by stating the obvious in an unexpected way, I also made sure to always remember that even the craziest idea can be brought to life if you manage to grant arguments strong enough to back it up. Speaking of ideas, expect many of them to be withdrawn, but you will come up with something even greater. A little bit of constructive self-criticism won’t kill you, but it surely gives a great reason to celebrate once you’re satisfied with the result.
I can say only one word about The Atomic Garden – amazing! To be honest, when I decided to enter this school I did not expect much to learn, the main thing for me was to know the industry, people. I had this belief that you can not learn creativity because it’s something that is given to you and that’s it. But, man, I was wrong, there are layers of strategy, insights, concepts and techniques which leads you to creating a good ad. So at the end, I not only met really interesting teachers and students but also mind opening lectures and all my expectations were exceeded when I got my dream job in one of the best advertising agencies in Lithuania!
The Atomic Garden gave me my first job. Also, a sense of what I’m doing and which ideas that I think of are worth something and which are a complete crazy-weird type. But, well, actually, the most important thing, that I am thankful for is the people that I met there. I know it sounds banal, but it’s true. Wonderful people, you don’t meet anymore just because of Atomic, you go watch football with them, make a board game evening or break a leg, which also becomes fun. I am very thankful for Atomic Garden, that it broadened my view to lots of different things and not only advertising. And most importantly – didn’t force me to grow up and get serious.
While spending time in digital, it was always interesting to get to know how that world works. The answers, provided by the top-class professionals at TAG Vilnius, let me understand many shades, insights, and to see a wider scope of our every step on social media.
While studying here I gained a lot of knowledge and understanding but I learnt one thing: anything that can go wrong, will go wrong and don’t even try to say ‘everything will be alright’, cause it means ‘stay put and do nothing’. No, DO stuff and then you will find solutions and then you will find the way to make it better. And then you will be THE account manager they need.
The truth is – I had many doubts about Advertising Strategy course at TAG. I didn’t know if it would be profound enough. I was not sure if it would be worth the time and the money. Now I am more than happy that I decided to risk it. I wanted to understand the processes of creating advertising campaigns or building brands. I was curious about decisions made backstage leading to creative solutions. At TAG I had a chance to learn from the best professionals in the industry that know a lot, have the experience and are amazingly passionate about advertising. That’s why I dare to say they are better teachers than many academics. I got to learn the theory that might be applied in practice, I employed tools that I didn’t know about, I got countless pieces of advice and lessons coming from real experiences. I had challenges and much fun. I saw different approaches and styles of working, which lead to an understanding that one must find his own way of thinking. We were taught to think. It was 5 months of the best overall experience whilst learning Advertising Strategy. For all of this, thank you, TAG!
